Default Obama want gun violene meaures passed in 2013

    http://www.9news.com/news/article/30...passed-in-2013-

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is voicing skepticism about proposals to place armed guards at schools in the aftermath of the mass shooting in Newtown, Conn., that killed 20 first graders.

He says he wants legislation aimed at containing gun violence passed next year.
In his most specific remarks about gun violence since the deadly assault at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Obama says he still supports increased background checks and bans on assault weapons and high capacity bullet magazines.
Obama made his remarks on NBC's "Meet the Press."
Six adults also died at the school. Authorities say the shooter killed himself and his mother at their home.
Obama says the Dec. 14 shooting was the worst day of his presidency. He vowed to put his "full weight" behind a legislative package.

In a nation governed by the people themselves, the possession of arms to defend their nation against usurpers within and without was deemed absolutely necessary. This right was protected by the 2nd Amendment.
"The constitutions of most of our States assert that all power is inherent in the people; that... it is their right and duty to be at all times armed."
--Thomas Jefferson to John Cartwright, 1824.

Well if he passes it, I think we can be pretty sure from the historical record that it will be a "Gun Violence Measure" just not the kind he envisioned.

You mean if congress passes it........right?

Sorry, I'm sure you are not one of them, nor are most here...

but I get tired of reading everywhere else, people thinking the President is responsible for everything. The corruption runs DEEP and spread throughout all three branches. Everything we are watching unfold is not the doing of one man, it is the doing of a group that was able to get representatives at the highest levels to circumvent our system, hell bent on destruction of our way of life.

Yes, because it is the Administrative branch of the government. It operates, implements and enforces all the laws created by the legislative branch, and as interpreted every once in awhile by the judiciary.

However, currently the executive branch holds considerably more power, since Obama has added to its portfolio, and is continually allowed to circumvent the system.

This is because congress allows it......and a complacent population.

I agree with you. The whole thing is a fucking mess but the guy at the top isn't exactly unfucking it. That and due to the fact that we live in a society where people would rather be told what to think instead if making their own opinions means the country is on it's way down.

Agreed 100%, and trust me, I'm not sticking up for Barry, not in the least bit. I think he is the biggest piece of shit of them all, but we have many others like him to look at as well when its time to clean house brother.
