Default Should i f@#k with this neighborhood kid?

So i am out in my back yard with the dogs. Since we have not installed flood lamps in the back i am using my led flashlight to illuminate the dogs. All of the sudden i see a red dot laser on the fence, and then it shines on me. I look around i see the laser reflect through some trees and it is coming from a house across the way on another street. I know that is a kids bedroom because i've driven past the house and seen how the room is decorated.

I turn my flashlight into strobe mode, and shine it into his room. Immediately the laser pointer goes away. Then i decide to have some fun with the kid. I grab another LED multifunction light and my 5 million candle power spot light from the house and shine it all in his bedroom. The spill from lights illuminate the entire house!

When my lights are on, the kid is hiding and there is no laser. I turn my lights off and the laser appears again. We play this game for a few minutes and then i return back to the house.

I told my wife i should f@#k with the kid and call the 911 and tell them i had a red dot laser sight pointed at me and i suspect it is a sniper rifle. I would tell them i am afraid that i might get shot at. The cops would show up, find out where the laser is coming from, and that kid would be mowing my lawn for the next year. And probably get a his ass beat from his parents.

Is that being too harsh? Should i have grabbed my AR and took the little kid out? I know my aim is not that good with the glock, but to be honest i did reach for it when i first saw the laser.

I would take it as a serious threat.

start with the kids parents and tell em you're this close to calling the cops.

I'm with 7idl here.. talk with the parents. If that doesn't resolve it, call the cops. Don't put yourself in a position where the kids folks could call them on you.
