wtk: reciever cover problem

I have a CIA AMD-65, but for some reason my receiver cover will not stay on the weapon when i fire!! It hasn't had a problem for the 500+ rounds i put threw it until now. Any suggestions on how to fix the problem? It only happens as the bolt is coming back then the cover lifts up from the rear sight and by the second shot it either by my head or already on the floor!!

try slamming the cover when you put it back on. it's not uncommon for the cover to appear on but the recoil unit doesn't click into place.

+1 on making sure it's on tight. I built a Romy G kit and f'd up the placement of the rear trunion so I had that happening as well. I put a weld bead along the spot where the cover butts up against the rear trunion and it solved my issues. Don't know if that would work for you here or not (though if you purchased this somewhere, I'd be contacting them for warranty work).

Well i purchased it at 5280 armory in arvada but the thing is i have never had a problem with it and the cover is installed correctly but wont stay on as the bolt goes back. But i guess asking the shop to take a look at it wont hurt either.
