    ATF will not allow that unless a state's permit is "NICS-compliant", which Colorado's county-by-county issuing system is not.

    I think CBI hires through Prime Source Staffing, so anyone looking for a job right now may check into that. I think they pay $10-$11 an hour or something.

    Very accurate info. Different shifts and different days off are available if hired.

    From CBI's Facebook just a few mins ago :

    Currently 12,797 checks in queue for background checks for firearms purchases. Wait time of 7 days. CBI has processed 1,643 on Saturday. Working on morning of 12/22/12.
    Taking those numbers with the
    11,942 number from yesterday means that CBI had ~ 2500 ADDED checks today alone.... WOW..

    Just checked status on my background check at Sportsmans and they said i'm four from the top still. We put our request in saturday morning.....

    wait until we have to do NFA Registrations on over 300 Million guns... and if they don't hurry it will be 400 Million
