All joking aside The untold time Randy and his wife spend on the phone waiting for approvals may never be appreciated by the masses. The same for any other lgs that tries to facilitate a speedier turn around time.

My bad. Didn't know that was his wife. When I asked why they charge for checks, the owner told me they are not affiliated with R&S. Maybe I'm confusing them with someone else. Wouldn't be the first time. I'll have to stop by again at the next show.

You need to hand it to Randy and his wife, they went out of their way to make sure the BGC went through. They spent hours on the phone to make sure they spoke with someone at CBI to process the 4473. They could have easily entered the 4473 manually and his customers would have a 8 to 10 day wait time OR they could have charged more to have them processed within 24.

+1 to R&S I alway check with Randy first when I'm in the market for my next purchase.

So the $10 charge was only because CBI was backed up and they had to call them in. OK, that makes sense. I thought it was their normal practice. I'll drop by and ask next show.

Why not stop by their place instead of waiting till "the next show" ?

My wife deals with the BGC for me (I don't do BGC at the show) and she won't do it for free (I can't say as I blame her). She has to put up with "is it finished yet", "why is it taking so long" so on and so forth (multiply that times 30 people) WHILE she is trying to enter it into the computer. The other option for me is to raise my prices or take the purchase up to the front and for the customer to wait in line with all the other 4473s to be processed by the TGS processors in the front of the show. I choose to keep my prices lower and let the buyer pay $10.00. The job is available to anyone who want to do that for 2 days, then file the forms, enter them into the A&D book, maintain the for forms for 20 years, and do this all for free.

So, $10.00 sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
$10 is a DEAL for this service. Some people place no value whatsoever on the labor of others. I could go into a really long, profanity laced tirade about the expectations some people have of other people...but I won't.

randy kicks much ass . i cant say enough good about him and his staff at r&s . they have always been super helpful and they even called one in for little old me this weekend . plenty of venders would not go the extra distance like r&s will . i have never seen better prices on new guns at the show and they are always in a pretty good mood . i could go on but it would be better if you had your own positive buying experience from r&s .
thanks again randy , the r1's look great together and now i have one to pass on to each of my kids
