A friend once told me there is only one thief in the world everyone else is just trying to get there shit back! Sorry to throw humor in, thought it might cheer you up! I don't see why you would take someone's lively hood away by steeling there tools!

Not an "internet story" but this just happened to my coworker last sunday.
He went to church. Thieves rolled in just after services started. He was parked far enough from the door and had his garage door opener clipped to the visor. They smashed the window, grabbed his opener and his registration.
From the registration they quickly went to his house, opened the garage door, closed it again.
Loaded up all his valuables, including custom violins, electronics, etc, all into the other car in his garage. Since they were inside his house, they easily found his spare keys for that car.
Drove away in his other car, no one noticed a thing. The thieves knew how long church service lasted, and that they'd have enough time.

This has been going on for several years, so be safe and either carry your garage door opener with you when you're not in your car, hide it VERY well, or they now have them small enough so that they fit on your keychain.

Damn thieves.

yikes chad.....im pretty sure my old landlord stole all my tools.....we couldnt get my buddys tow truck to tow my box for a week after i moved out landlord said no problem! when we came back it was gone along with the new engine transmission and supercharger for my vw......landlords son was an avid vw fan the police took a report i never heard anything back.....nice
