BEST CHRISTMAS GIFT EVER!!!!

So I am sound asleep last night when my dogs started barking like crazy. I noticed that they ran downstairs and were at the front door. Still in a half daze I thought I heard the door bell ring so I sat up a little bit more and my wife say's to me," Was that the door bell?" I thought about it and said,"Yeah I think so." So I got outta bed and peered out my window and was looking down at the front porch but could not see anybody. Then my cell phone starts ringing and I can see that it is my son calling. I'm thinking what in the hell is he doing calling me at this hour from San Diego. I answered the phone and asked if everything is all right since it was so late and he replies, " Yo pops you wanna come unlock...." He could not finish the words before I realized not only was I hearing his voice through my phone but I can hear him down on the front porch.

I screamed,"You little S*@*t" and threw my phone down and grabbed my rob and bolted down the stairs. I flew open the door and and I couldn't believe it there was my young man standing in front of me. He gave me a Merry Christmas from Grandma and me. You see he is in the Navy and graduated boot camp back in October and used all of his leave to come home after graduation and did not have any leave saved up so he could be home for the holidays. It was my first Christmas without him and with us having to put down our pooch last Friday it made for a crummy Christmas for me.

He came inside and we sat on the couch and talked and chatted and he said that he talked to his Chief and they let him take a week of leave and had been planning on surprising me for weeks now. My mom is a stealthy one that is for sure! I looked over at my wife and asked her if she knew about this and she just grinned. I couldn't believe it, my wife can't keep a secret to save her life but she managed to keep this one under wrap.
