    Default The Problem with Humans

And the leaders of this great country knows it, is that there are too many citizens out there that are inherintly evil/sick. Two articles in the paper yesterday on the same page.

One was about turtle research in South Carolina. A researcher was looking into road kill box turtles. He/she put a rubber turtle on the road and the first seven cars going by, went out of their way to swerve on purpose to smash the turtle. This is just sick behavior.

I myself will take an animal to eat. Including fish, even sushi is dead.

The other article was about a 27 year old setting fire to a 67 year old woman that was sleeping on a bus stop bench. He needs to be publicly hung whether she died or not.

These sick assnuggets are costing hard working law abiding Americans their freedom. These sick actions do not come under freedom of expression or some shrinks thoughts on the perps "bad childhood".

Evil inherently rests in the hearts of all humans. Most humans have the upbringing and morals to quell that evil.
But when the checks and balances of morals are removed from society that evil becomes prevalent.

I will summarize all the issues and problems in this country in three words.

    lack of accountability

hold these people accountable and things get better:
    politicians
    parents
    oneself
oh yeah and for old times sake. Unions.

+1 this. I've been saying this EXACT thing for some time. In fact, I follow it with "Until you find a way to remove the evil out of the heart of man, you will always have violence and threats to your safety."

Whether you are a Christian or not, the one thing all Christian faiths here in America always taught was a strong foundation of a code of morality. Other institutions taught this as well and we, as a nation, (overall) treated each other within the boundaries of that code of morality (there are always exceptions). Since the end of WWII, and especially since the 1960's, the nation has been replacing this code with a "new morality" (or lack thereof) as the traditional morality was considered "too restrictive". With each passing year more & more people replace the values and beliefs that once kept society polite with their own sense of right & wrong. More often than not, these new beliefs have been focused on the individual, enforcing an "instant gratification" agenda.

The demons are released and unrestrained evil continues to expose itself as society no longer feels it's right to restrict people's "expression of self". Sadly, I believe that we're just seeing the beginning of greater and greater acts of evil and all we can do is prepare to protect ourselves from the eventuality of experiencing it firsthand.

ETA: There are those who believe the exact opposite of what Bert & I have stated. They claim to believe in the overall "goodness" of mankind. Yet this same group doesn't trust the individual; believing instead that the individual needs more legislation and government involvement to dictate an individuals behavior. Their claims of what they believe and their actions to enact more control are in direct conflict with each other, yet they don't see this as a problem. These people see folks like Bert & I as alarmists, nutjobs and conspiracy theorists. They think those of us who feel the responsibility to protect ourselves against the evil of mankind is sheer lunacy. We know these people as "liberals".

And with this I can illustrate the fundamental difference between modern conservatives and modern liberals.

Liberals believe that man is born pure and noble and it is society (and religion) that warp these innocent angels into evil creatures in need of top down control.

Conservatives believe man is inherently selfish and evil and to maintain a safe and prosperous free society, you must create laws (and a society) that take man's natural character into account. A big part of this is acknowledging that government is people and that people are corrupt so you need a very small and tightly restrained government where all live under the law).

Liberals believe man can be perfected by a strong governing authority. Conservatives believe law and society can be made to allow men to be free but also protected from one other's basic evil tendencies.
Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".

"Everything the State says is a lie, and everything it has it has stolen.
    -Friedrich Nietzsche

"Every time something really bad happens, people cry out for safety, and the government answers by taking rights away from good people."
    -Penn Jillette

I'm guessing that approximately 05% of Americans are truly "evil" as you might define it . . . one in twenty. Most of them do not murder or set fires, and the ones who do typically are caught and incarcerated before their 21st birthday. I hear they tend to do very well in sales, retail management, and politics.

As for the rubber turtle in the road . . . it was South Carolina. Hitting turtles in the road is practically the state sport there. Here in Colorado "the first seven drivers" probably would've stopped their car to move the turtle off the road.

12 -15 years ago Mental Health "experts" reported that 10%(one in ten) of the population had a "mental illness". Today the same "experts" are saying 25% ( one in four) of the population is sick. How exactly can that be??? Out of that 25% how many are just plain evil. "They" are just giving names to behaviors and calling it a mental ilness...According to "experts" statistics 25 US sentors are "ill". One out of every four NSA members are "sick'. 25% of the US Congress has a mental illness...The Pres has a family of four, statistically one is sick. Maybe this is why nothing gets right in this country.

Psychology is considered a "lite science", meaning really no meaningful substance. Emperically lots of people in psych classes got drummed out of real classes like biology, chemstry etc. ie. could'nt cut the mustard in tough classes. Psych degrees are kinda like recreational degrees.
