    some irony for the OP..

Tomasie chose to work for and represent PARA USA because their high capacity pistols give him the expert choice he needs to defend his National and World Championships. His choice of pistol for USPSA and IPSC competition is a PARA 16-40 Limited.

This isn't true. I'm not trying to find a way around anything, especially that which does not yet exist.
(Yes, I did try to get a bit "creative" with my title. Sorry ....)
I was merely showing that the theory of "Gee, if there were only smaller capacity mags around, there would not have been as many victims in these mass shootings ." does not hold up.

COFI pointed to the Mad Minute method for rifles. I looked up a few related videos and was impressed by how many rounds a BOLT action can put down range in such a short time...and with reasonable accuracy.

Plus, for those that have never seen this video, the guy is ASTONISHINGLY fast.
Mag ban or not, I think the video is worth spending the 0:23 sec it lasts for, to view it.

    Thanks for pointing this out.

Seeing how fast he reloads, at a practical level, I can't see it making a difference.
He has the capability to put a LOT of lead down range quickly with small or large cap mags.

However, at the competition level, every msec counts. He knows what combination is best for him.

    I still say he's "IMPRESSIVE"...

I'm going to use the AR as an example but this applies to other rifles as well. If you have what the rest of the country would call a standard setup with a pistol grip, flash hider, and/or an adjustable stock you can't drop a magazine at the touch of a button. A tool is required. When I started the only thing to do was totally fix the mag with a set screw through the button and top load. Then along came the bullet button which was essentially and mag release button with a housing around it. You stick a bullet or a pen or anthing that would fit in the hole. That thing was your "tool." I had a gate latch before I went "featureless" which is a whole other long story.

The funny thing is that it made mag changing almost as easy as a standard button while sticking to the law 100%. Of couse that's always trumped because someone participating in illegal behavior can replace it a minute or two before they go out since it isn't built into the lower.
    The "k" is silent.
