Get your GWL and then for every weapon you buy thereafter you show your GWL, they make a photocopy of it, call it in and you are on your way.

He added that one good way to speed up the applications is to allow purchasers who already have concealed-carry permits to bypass the background checks — since they've already gone through the checks. Former Gov. Bill Ritter, a Democrat, vetoed Brophy's bill to do that in 2009 under a legislature controlled by Democrats.
