I posted the size requirements, but they got stuck on the often-overlooked first page

Seriously, Postcards are only $.32 each to mail, and you can print them yourself on cardstock or heavy paper. They just need to meet these standards:
    • Rectangular
    • At least 3-1/2 inches high x 5 inches long x 0.007 inch thick
    • No more than 4-1/4 inches high x 6 inches long x 0.016 inches thick
I pulled those requirements straight from the USPS site: http://pe.usps.com/businessmail101/m...tics/cards.htm

Cool, I did not want to be a dupe'er. I did share this thread with some other people also.

edit: I gave it a bump to get some fresh views also.

I just posted this idea over on subguns.com.

Thus is an idea I can really get behind. I will send a bunch out to national and local people soon.

Black faxing them would be free and annoying too but I wouldn't suggest doing that...

The only problem I have with your work HoneyBadger is that Jefferson quote. According to Monticello.org there are a lot of second amendment quotes incorrectly attributed to Jefferson and I couldn't find anything similar on their quotes pages or on wikiquote. I'm about to run some 4x6 cards through my printer to see if it works.

Thanks for the heads up on the quote possibly mis-attributed. (Not that it really matters in this case...) If you want, I'll send you the word .doc and you can do whatever you want to it... I just created a basic template.

I got it. I had some unlined 4x6 note cards lying around and my printer handled them just fine. Got cards now for Lamborn, Udall, Bennet (DC and local offices), State Rep, State Senator, and since I had a couple extra, Diane Feinstein and Harry Reid. I went simple -
    On the "picture" side:
“A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a FREE state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.”
    On the Address side:
"As an elected official, you swore an oath to protect and defend the constitution – HONOR YOUR OATH. We, the People, are watching."

To the post office in the morning!
