I read that recently. It's one of the few things that has given me chills.

Here is why it gives me chills.....

I read it and say "this sounds like a fucking movie, unreal"

Then I think.... "its completely plausible, and goes along with our current events"

I think this is appropriate...if taken in figurative terms...

"...true courage is about not knowing when to take a life, but when to spare one."

"When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home." ~ Chief Tecumseh

I've been reading that type of thing online for years (and before the internet they were passed around via small newsletters and such ... for example I had a college professor in the late '80s that was convinced that the Federal Reserve had printed up a bunch of new money and the old money was going to be obsolete so they could catch everyone storing money outside the banking system and force them to pay exorbitant taxes on it when you exchanged it for the new cash).

Maybe someday one of them will be true ... this one has just enough "ring of truth" to it to be true. However I've read enough of these that also sounded just as plausible that never materialized.

Either way I expect 2013 is going to really really suck.

Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".

The information in that read was interesting, reads like a movie/book. Sad part is there is a lot of comparisons to the real world. I feel the one unpredictable variable is the human being, we know a confiscation is as equal to a fire starter beyond our imagination. I doubt many friends in the law enforcement will follow 100% with orders such as they. With in any fairy tale there is always a little truth.

"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. --Jeff Cooper"

Sounds like a cross between "Patriots" (the book) and Jericho. Even as fiction it is a disturbing read.

Am I really naive enough to think there is no way this could be true?
