Thumbs up Larimer county sheriff's dept

With all the bad PR about LE I wanted to post and say something positive about LE. I have never had a bad interaction with one of their deputies even when being pulled over. But i went in today to renew my ccw permit, they were nice enough to send me the papers last month so it didn't expire in February. But every time I have gone in there they have been very nice and eager to help out. I worked with the deputy working the desk today like 18 years ago and have met his dad several times (retired FT Collins PD) both are really nice people. Compared to dealing with ccw stuff in clark county nevada, Larimer county is a pleasure!

Evidently since obtaining my low numbered permit 5 years ago they have gotten popular! And judging from the amount of people in there getting first time permits they are very busy right now! So I would like to say thanks for all their hard work getting these permits out!

+1 When I got my CCW a few years back they were very helpfull and nice. Two days after I moved here I went to the Sheriffs office and they filled me in on exactly what I needed to do. They were even more nice to my wife when she went in and got her's.

It was a little bit scary (due to term limits being placed on the Sheriff for some reason) during the election when it looked like it was going to be close. Thankfully Justin Smith won and things are continuing as they should. It starts at the top and works it's way down through the ranks. We have elected great representation and I'm glad that the majority got something right. Great county to live in and I'm proud to call myself a resident.
