    I've done it this way for a long time but just saw Alton Brown recommended using his waffle iron.

    I guess I don't have a big enough waffle iron.

    I still don't have enough waffle iron. I'm not going to cook a rasher of bacon 2 pieces at a time.

    ...and then there's the fat that renders from the bacon. My waffle iron doesn't have a drip pan.

    This is a great way to cook bacon!! It really brings out the flavor. Note to self: don't let the grease drip onto the oven burner mechanism, it really tests the smoke detector.

    pffft I have cooked bacon on the manifold of a M88 tracked recovery vehicle

    Wildflecken German in the middle of ice-cold dark thirty I traded a pack of smokes for some nice bacon
    Cooked in right on the manifold
    whole damned company was at "recovery"
