I beat more than one vet last time around...

Personally, I think the vet pref points are bullshit. Just because you're a vet doesn't mean you'll make a good cop. Case in point, the last round of retarded Bastards hired where I am... I am NOT a fan.... And one of them is a vet.

The last four agencies I've applied for, I've been one person out. Hiring five and I was #6. I rock at oral boards and the written tests. Probably because I've done so damn many of them. I think I'm on oral board #8.

I agree that being a vet won't make you a good cop... But I'll take the leg up because of it, I'll be honest. I know a couple of cops, not JCSO, that are vets and they're not that great... then again, one of them is Morrison PD, and that department is a joke!
