If dealing on armslist of with people you dont know about places like wal mart are good because the parking lot has cameras in case it goes south.

Be sure and wear a black ski mask if cold outside. Don't want to catch a cold. JK!! I like Sportsman's, Bass-Pro, any sporting shop or public area in the back lot.

I'm partial to Home Depot, almost everyone knows where there is one.

Granted I have only made one such public transaction but, I had the last minute thought to bring a rifle bag with me. Might ask the buyer if he has such a bag.

I'd go with Sportsmans given your location. If you're selling a gun a lot more then it's worth it sounds a bit fishy. I'd want to be somewhere where others have guns just incase it went south.

Bad places: the lobby of the local police station, whatever hotel Obummah happens to be at, schools, movie theaters, dark fields that can only be accurately located with GPS coordinates, the steps of the state capitol, pretty much anywhere after dark.

Good places: Previously mentioned places above, during the day, with a well armed friend alongside.

I don't deal with Armslist folks, mostly only members here that are known to me personally or by reputation. Most times, it ends up being at my place of business.

Thanks, that's going to be the plan. With the AR15 frenzy I can't help but try to sell for a ridiculous amount. Especially if it'll pay for airfare to thailand

Seems I've done my fair share at Walmarts and oddly enough two different ones at the same McDonalds.

Don't forget the Tac.vest loaded with magazines and cami clothing........

Also, don't sell ammo with the firearm unless it is in separate, closed container. And defiantly no loaded magazines. Unless the buyer is well known to you. Use a gun case or other covering to transfer from your vehicle to the buyers. You don't need some libertard freaking out and calling the police after catching a glimpse of an evil modern sporting rifle.
