Default Blown insulation tax credit thread?

Seems like I remember some guys on here bragging about having additional insulation blown in their houses cheaply? IIRC, there was a tax credit for doing so? No idea if its still available.

    anyone remember this?

Check the xcel webite, I searched for it a few weeks ago and you have to use an xcel contractor. My understanding is that you will spend 4 times the cost of doing it yourself to get a credit for less than half. Better off to go in with a neighbor, by enough bundles at home depot and they rent the machine for free, $200+ deposit though. Go to R-60, its not too difficult.

I did it. Cost me like 50 bucks all told to get it done. Don't remember the company I would have to check my taxes.

Best way to get in to see me at the shop is to call or email Shannon and make an appointment.
