Default Pro Gun Rally - 09 Jan

fwiw... I saw that more details have been posted on facebook- http://www.facebook.com/events/234582726675522/
    Guns For Everyone posted:
Our permit is for the West Steps, although according to a trooper they may "ask" us to move (to Lincoln Park) due to it being the first day of session. Speakers are TBD again due to the way our permit has been resisted. Many people want this to be sponsored by some sort of large organization, and we understand, but like we have told others, we have welcomed all to come. This is not about us or any other group, it's about our freedom. We haven't made an official collaboration with any group, because again this is about people's rights and we didn't want that to get lost in the promotion of any one group, including ourselves. Maybe we were wrong in doing so, but we want to focus on our support for 2A and our individual freedom. We know there has to be some structure, but let this be a rally of the people, not organizations. Again there are many that insist on this beign legitimised by a large organization, and we understand why, but we thought this through and decided to make this about individuals, again maybe we were wrong but that is our decision. Everyone is welcome to come, this is not about us, it is about your freedom and 2A.

I know many have day jobs and some feel the wrong message could be sent if enough people don't show, etc... For those that can recall the old Faberge Shampoo commercials, you'll know what I mean.. and tell two friends... and so on...

Might be able to make the 9th but I will have to have the baby on the chest and the AR slung on my back.

I'm in the same boat... If I didn't have to work (and saying I'm going to a rally is not a valid excuse to cut out of work)...

Hmm, I happen to have a "holiday" tomorrow. Anybody from here planning on attending?

I'll probably go down. Due to Denver Laws I will not have an AR with me. I will however have my Airedale with me.

Yeah, doubt my boss is going to let me off to go to a pro gun rally. If I would have had a week or more notice I wouldn't need an excuse, but 3 days or less notice and she wants to know why.

Thanks. I'm old but not that old.
