I think we need some more categories here:
Lets see the bolt rifles. any calibers.
Here is my Remington 700 in .243. Got an antelope this last season with it!

I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
460 Weatherby...no scope mounted. They figured it would be easier to remove the scope from my forehead without the gun still attached. Never got around to remounting it.
Here's mine.
My grandfather built this rifle in 1959.
A few details:
WWII-era Mauser 98K action
Custom machined Browning M1919 barrell
Scope (added later) is a 1964 vintage Browning 2x-7x
Chambered in .30-.338 WinMag
Very light trigger![]()
I thought I would jump in with one of my favorites..![]()

I built this rifle off of the rem 700.![]()
It works just fine! 3 shot group hornady 168 BTHP, 44 gr of Varget, 100 yards. I couldn't beleive it! I zeroed with seirras but wanted to see how the hornady's shoot. I might switch to the red box! The seirras grouped at .375 wich isn't bad either.

New build that will hopefully make it back out to CO with me for a visit. Or if I ever end up moving back... Hope to have it done sometime in May. 6x47 Shilen ratchet rifled barrel on a savage target action in a McRee stock. The have a monthly f-class shoot at Quantico, hope to make it..
