Default A slightly different interpretation of 2A

Vermont to Require NON-Gun Owners to Pay a Fine?

[Vermont State Rep. Fred] Maslack recently proposed a bill to register “non-gun-owners” and require them to pay a $500 fee to the state. Thus Vermont would become the first state to require a permit for the luxury of going about unarmed and assess a fee of $500 for the privilege of not owning a gun.

I like it. I wonder how Perlmutter would feel about this one.

Well, just like with Obamacare, they are proposing to fine individuals for not buying (or at least owning) a specific product. Me no likey.

Some folks just don't want to be able to defend themselves. I don't get it, but they don't get that I do. So be it. It's one of the consequences of living in a (relatively) free society.

Liberal crybabies can't help but be smug about the fact Obamacare was upheld and forces a fine on employed Americans to pay for their imagined right to healthcare, regardless of their own contribution. I think it's sweet to see the tables turned on them.

Agreed. However, this is being creative and fighting fire with fire. We need to stop bowing down to the liberal hate machine.

If I remember right, this was from many years ago, and the state Representative is no longer in office.
