From what other members have said it seems that an EO can't overturn the 2A. BO only has power over the executive branch and can only enforce already existing laws... Am I wrong? Am I making myself into a complete fool?

An EO can't overturn the 2A but the problem comes from implementation while you are going through the process of proving that the EO is illegal and invalid -- especially if he starts small with EOs seem more benign like a limitation on how many background checks NICS will support per month or slowrolling ATF approvals for licenses.

An XO that would stand couldn't flat out overturn the 2nd but it could be darned disruptive. I think it would apply most easily to imports. Bush the 1st did 922(r) and it still irritates peaceable AK & FAL folk. We're not ruffians like you AR people.

One thing about challenging an XO is that you have to have standing which means you can show harm from it. If Obama does a really broad one there'd be a regular stampede of gun rights and conservative groups filing suit.
