Wow, the way that the organizer has conducted himself since announcing that firearms were not welcome at the rally has certainly put me off.
I plan on being there and not speaking to anyone. As far as clothes the only thing I have to were are jeans and a shirt as I have no idea were my dress clothes are. I am not making any signs and will not commit to any media. Any advice would be appreciated as this would be my first rally and it is important. Thanks
Yep! My wife and I have a pact... that if one of us wants to drink that night, they'll leave their piece locked up at home while the other one carries. That way someone is always sober and carrying. If we both want to drink, we'll make a nice dinner and have some drinks at home.
I can understand him being worried about irresponsible owners, but the way he tries to make all of those with a permit seem irresponsible (and he hopes they get arrested). I don't understand that mentality.
Is this thing tomorrow going to be a kegger or something?![]()

I wish technology solved people issues. It seems to just reveal them.
-Also Me
All the bickering on that Facebook page is kinda putting me off of the whole event, and makes me a little concerned about going.
This is of course a heated issue, and one that people are passionate about on both sides. The fact that so many people from one side are arguing, along with how dumb some people are. Then multiply that by how many people are going to be there, and pack them downtown which sucks, and then add in some people on the other side of the fence... eh, I'm starting to think I may attend this event from across the street so I can stay out of the mess of people, and have my CCW on me with no worries... Maybe I'm getting more paranoid in my old age, but taking all those factors, and the thought of not carrying? Not sure how comfortable I feel with it...
I know they were planning on introducing me, but I'm not sure what to do now...

I know a few other people posted about meeting up beforehand at Starbucks or something, but is anyone going to do that? Maybe us across the street folks could meet up beforehand.

I'd be up for meeting across the streeters. I'm curious... if assembling outside of the area for which an assembly permit is held would be considered unlawful assembly? I'm not up on THOSE laws so I'm not sure. I'd say just be prepared for LEOs to say "hi" and probably suggest joining the crowd or moving on.
I'd say being on a side of the street that has restaurants or businesses wouldn't be too bad of an idea... just in case stuff gets out of hand and sh!t goes down... it would give a place to retreat back to and find cover.
