I'm planning on being there...with my Glock 36...as is my legal right. I don't really give a rat's ass about someone's wishy-washy idea of changing my behavior for their wishes. Set expectations to not look like a bunch of back-woods yahoos and then let everyone be an adult about the rest of it. If you happen to be an honest-to-God back-woods yahoo, then be yourself.

I really thought the comment about coming unarmed because there were families and children present was BS. If you're a man responsible for your family and children, do what you need to do. It's that kind of thinking that got us here, IMNSHO.

I don't think many people have said they are not going. I know them turning this into a temporary gun-free zone is making some people second-guess going... but it sounds like, for the most part, those of us who will be carrying will be standing across the street FROM the park... not IN the park. I think everyone should still go. I'm still going.

I don't have Facebook, so I'm discussing what's been posted there...here. Sorry if that makes some folks uneasy, but I'm getting mixed signals from "the organizer", and I don't think I'm alone in that regard.

I'll be standing SOUTH of W 14th... over by the art museum... at least until someone comes along and says to mosey on. They've got a couple of restaurants over there and some restrooms. I probably won't be there for the whole three hours... I don't think they'll let us stand across the street for 3 hours. But I'll be there at least for a little bit to get a view of the crowd, take some pics and show my support.

I just got off of the phone with Don, the organizer about the possibility of speaking. He said it is doubtful as they have a full schedule.
He also said this thing has gone huge, much more than he ever expected.
