Feel free to CC if you've got the permit. I think people are suggesting no OC because that is (unfortunately) a no-no in downtown Denver. And while a few thousand guys in suits raising their AR's in unison would be a powerful sight to behold... now isn't the time for that.

I will likely be there. I think it would be a good idea for COAR 15 members to be represented as a group, together, perhaps with appropriate signage?

THIS is why it is so important that as many of us as possible show up on the 19th (and each additional rally after that) if it is at all humanly possible. Please show up! We've got to send a message to our legislature!

COLORADO ALERT: 2013 Anti-Gun Bills at the State Capitol

Updated information on anti-Second Amendment bills in the 2013 Colorado Legislature:

We can expect 14 to 20 anti-gun bills. The current Democrat package includes:

A ban on an undetermined number of semi-automatic firearms (No grandfather clause)
A ban on magazines of over ten rounds (No grandfather clause).
Making an individual with a violent misdemeanor a "prohibited person" re: gun ownership.
A ban on private sales by requiring universal background checks.
A waiting period on background checks that will kill gun shows.
Rollback of concealed carry on college campuses.
More strict enforcement of gun confiscation related to restraining orders
Wider use of mental health treatment information for gun control purposes

Published reports indicate that rabid, anti-gun, millionaire, New York City Mayor Bloomberg is sending a well funded team to Colorado to push gun control.

    What can you do?

Contribute to the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms and help stop the assault on our rights.

Contact your State Senator and State Representative twice a month, starting now, to express opposition to any anti- Second Amendment legislation. Be polite, but firm. If you have a lame duck senator or representative, call both the old one and the new one.

Contact the Governor once a month.

Write letters to newspapers opposing gun control.

Write posts to websites opposing gun control.

Warn your gun owning friends about the impending disaster to the Second Amendment in Colorado.

Educate open-minded people on the evils of gun control.

Prepare to help with lawsuits to stop any anti-gun bills that pass the legislature.

Plan time to come to the Capitol and possibly testify against gun Control We will give you times, places and information on testimony preparation and presentation. We will need thousands of people at the Capitol to stop any of the above legislation.

If you want to write to any of the elected state officials, use:

Leave the camo, unless you're a vet, at home along with the guns. Dress professional and bring family and friends.
So me being a vet, I can wear my field jacket (might be cold)... Now which one, BDU or ACU?

I encourage and challenge all of us vets to be there. We swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution. This march is just one small way we can do exactly that. Send out the call to action to all of your veteran friends on Facebook/Twitter and encourage them to show up as well.

Let's all be there. Bring your family, invite your friends and co-workers.

Dress like you're going to be on TV, and no OC please. The media will do their best to seek out the morons.

    [IMPORTANT]

VERY IMPORTANT PRO-GUN rally at the Capitol on 01/19/13! Attend if you can show support for YOUR
2nd Amendment rights! Show your legislators that we are more than just a few law abiding, peaceful, 2 nd
    amendment & constitution loving Americans!
Some of you know this already, some of you don't. On Jan 19th, 2013 at 12:00PM, there is a call out
nationwide for a pro-gun rally at all state capitols nationwide. This is to draw attention to our 2nd
amendment rights and show the politicians that we will not succumb to the relinquishing of our guns. At the
dinner Saturday night our guest speaker laid it out for the gun owners in Colorado. He had spent some time
that day with a state rep and was told the people in our state congress want your guns. This is separate
from the federal gun ban they are bringing to us. We need everyone to attend that can to show our
strength, in numbers. They want to ban all AR's, high cap mags, guns that hold high cap mags, bullet
allowance, and if you are able to buy a gun, you pay 100% of background check fees as determined by the
state. What happens if you are caught with banned items? Of course you will be welcomed into the world of
felons and not able to own another gun. You can sit on your ass and not get involved but don't complain if
these laws pass and you did nothing. Right now I am waiting for word from Denver gov. on permit
requirements. We need five (5) democrat votes to overturn this or they will win, make no mistake about it.
Right now we don't even have one, the democrats control our congress in Colorado and they need to see
that we are more than just a couple of gun owners. I know, we have matches to shoot but if they get what
they want you will be lucky to shoot a match. Everyone on here, send this out to anyone you can think of.
This is being organized by several gun groups. If you want a copy of the mission statement call or send me
an email. This has to be well organized, with no violence, name calling, etc, it must be professional. "Gun
Control = more crime" "guns across America"

I'm sure he'll be off training somewhere... but I'd love for Travis to be there with us in Denver on the 19th. If not to speak, at least to stand with us. I'm sure he would be there if he could! A great video and you could tell it was all straight from the heart!
