    honda bad in winter
jetta wagon still pretty bad in winter, especially unplowed roads, and wont be pulling close to 40 with a trailer, if the transmission and rest of the drivetrain survives the trailer load.
jeep, get after it, and blow up shafts or rear driveshaft, its done too.

Id be outfitting the jeep with some more improved drivetrain parts. and forget the other 2.

Get the bumper etc tied into a lot more than the last 3-4" of frame rail, it wads up like foil. Id make it bolt on as well, any need to reseal the timing case to the block and you need to get everything out of the way in front of the engine.
Haven't had to do the timing cover gasket yet, as far as I know people pull the pumps from a 1st gen dodge to do the a/c compressor to air tank idea. That thought has definitely crossed my mind just don't know where to put a tank.

What year is the jetta? IF it's newer, it won't be safe against EMP.
