Ugh, only did 3 years in Florida but remember those hurricane evacs. Amazing how many people waited until inside the 24-hour point to bug out then got all pissed off about ParkingLot-95 and the fact they couldn't locate a motel or budget hotel with vacancies ...

Having followed a couple of conversions of both the deuce and a half and the five ton version, I'd probably go with deuce and a half. Some states require you to get a CDL to drive the 5 ton and the deuce can be found with a multi-fuel diesel that expands your fuel options. Check the Steel Soldiers forum for more information than you can handle on these vehicles.

cofi, does a 12v p-pump do well on WVO? I thought about a 4bt or merc build on WVO, but haven't been able to find a good donor.

yea they eat EVERYTHING(wvo, used motor oil etc) only thing that seems to be filters getting clogged prematurely.....but since my friend got a centrifuge set up(he used to have a coffee filter setup) i dont think he has changed a filter......
the problem is finding a cummins cheap out here they get stupid high premiums put on them some guy in kansas is trying to get 3k for a 94 dodge with 350k miles and no title i got a guy local with a 92(ve pump) but again he is asking too much

if you want a car you may want to look into the vw diesels(pre 99) there way more fun then the mercs gonna be

edit: im using a 6bt for my yukon
