The gov't won't allow full-autos back into production... If they say it it's just a lie.

Exactly, not the best record on the whole truth and transparency thing

No registering firearms of any sort. Even though I'm down to just an old ass Stevens .22 bolt tube feed which acts like a single shot since it wont feed right half the time, I shouldn't have to register it.

Do you allow us to rape you willingly or by force. Not seeing a win either way.
Can't think of a better way to put it... either way some shit's getting pushed in. I say the best compromise ever I heard today was "The only compromise we can say is if you back down from trying to limit our rights, we MAY come to your aid if some criminal is trying to hurt you. Otherwise, call 911 and good luck!"

so would you give up "all transfers must go through a FFL" for re-opening the registry? (With the requirement that should the registry close again F2F transfers no longer need a FFL)

That one is a tougher question and I'd probably take it.

What would you compromise on to re-open the registry?

On the background check issue, I'd probably go along with putting everything through an FFL, so long as the rest of the system doesn't change and we get something in return. 4473's stay with the FFL and there's no de facto gun database created. I don't see them giving us anything in return though.

10 to 1 say's if they require every sale (including private) to go through a 4473 there will be a tax on the transaction. That's why they want it so bad. I'd almost go as far as saying they want this for the revenue more than knowing what you buy. Just look at how we get f*cked here when buying and registering a used car here in CO that was purchased via a private sale. It's bullshit.
