Brownell's Orders.. for those of us on a list

Just got this from Brownell's. Can't say I didn't expect it @ some point.



We have experienced a truly unprecedented volume of orders recently. Because your trust is most important to us, we want to assure you we are doing our very best to achieve our goal of same/next day shipping on your orders.


However, as a result of industry-wide shortage of certain products, many customers like you have ordered out of stock items and have been placed on backorder status. We are in daily contact with our key suppliers to get as much inventory as they are able to send so we can fill backorders as quickly as possible.


It is our promise to fill all backorders as quickly as possible. We will not cancel your backorder unless you specifically request us to do so. Orders will be filled and shipped based on the date they were received. We will ship backordered items as soon as inventory arrives in our warehouse. You may receive multiple shipments, but remember you only pay shipping once with Brownells.


In addition, we are developing an order update system to keep you informed on the status and anticipated delivery date of your order.


You are our #1 Priority, so please know we are doing everything possible to get your order to you as quickly as we can.

I have yet to get that from them, and I ordered 2 Sig 229 mags from them what now? 3 weeks ago... Still backordered... This shortage is insane, and I pray it ends soon. But good to know they're working on it, I too would like a backorder status update.

Brownells is a real stand-up company and cares about their customers. I try to put as much of my hard-earned money in local vendors when the price is a close match to Brownells, but some things you can just get cheaper through Brownells, even after shipping. They are a great company and I hope they stay in business until the end of time.

You want to know what is weird about them? Maybe I shouldn't post this... but I will. But if you add an item to your cart, and don't check out, that item remains in your cart indefinitely. For instance I added some lowers to my cart, had no idea until i was online trying to order some mags when sure enough it allowed me to checkout EVEN THOUGH the item cannot be back ordered.

Bug in their ordering? Think they will fulfill the order?

Kwando, probably a cookie. I have had that happen on a few sites. It's nice at times and annoying at others.. when you order something you didn't want to.

I just got my order shipped today from Brownells that I ordered from them on the 26th of Dec. My upper was a complete upper and was in stock when I ordered it and was listed as in stock aq few days after I ordered (sold out now.)

Just took them that long to process and ship.



I recieved today finally another upper I ordered on the 23rd of Dec from a different place, it too was live stock and still took that long. No matter back ordered or not these companys got hammered by orders.....................
