I don't get to use this word often, but when I do, it's awesome: That guy is a fucktard! He not only paints police as incompetent, trigger happy, psychos, but he also has an idea that flies in the face of nearly every single state that has CCW laws. Gee, by his logic Denver's streets should be flowing red with all the blood. What a fucking moron! He needs to just resign and go live somewhere that has padded walls and men in white coats. This is why Chicago is the way it is...

Astounding. That guy shouldn't be in law enforcement with such attitudes - and he damned sure shouldn't be in charge of making policy for the rest of the Department. He's setting policy for the Department to unlawfully use lethal force - essentially establishing a sanctioned de-facto vigilante force against both criminals and the law-abiding.
Let's see... You can't have firearms because we don't trust you to be safe with them and use them legally/safely, but we can have guns and we WILL NOT (by policy) use them safely or lawfully.
Nanny-state protectionism/control at it's finest.
