    Default The firearm industry economy

Why have i not heard anyone talk about what will happen with the firearm economy if they do pass some sort of AWB or other kind of firearm restrictions. There are so many 5-50 person companies designing, manufacturing, and marketing different products. Not to mention all the large companies that do so much business. Any type of gun control laws pass i see a ton of these companies having to close down due to lack of demand. Certainly they would have to lay off people, plus there would be a drastic decrease in tax revenue for the different municipalities around the country from the lack of sales.

Are people not talking about it because they don't see it as an issue? or is it because it seems insensitive to discuss this versus what ever safety issues people think about.

It would put more people on unemployment and therefore more of a chance that they will vote Democrat? I'm joking, but I fear that there are liberal strategists that might actually consider it that way.

People are creative. I assume the people making 30 round mags will invent better 10 round mags if we get forced in that direction. The people making semi-automatics will find ways to make better bolt action or lever action or other rifles or revolvers. If Feinstein gets her way and private ownership is somehow outlawed, people will find a way to make legal products until the SCOTUS overturns her POS legislation.

I fear that by the time any new gun legislation is challenged in the suppreme court, there will be at least 2 more judges appointed by the POTUS.
If history is any indicator, the courts will let us down.

I have thought this for a long time. You know our economy is in the toilet, what will help us? I know... lets enact a bill that will put people out of work, decrease spending to an extent, and decrease our tax revenue as a result. Also, if we can get a retro-active bill in place and take away peoples "assault weapons" then we can just hire more people to take these guns away, I mean that won't increase our spending.

A side note, I hate the term "assault weapon" so much. A man can be beaten to death with a baseball bat, is this an assault weapon? No, but my rifle that I take out every once in a while to shoot coyotes is? Am I missing something here?
