    You can either print from a WinXP/7 enviorment or the replace the printer. As good as it was, it is actually end of life end of service product.

    Try running the install in compatability mode. I played with Win 8 and from my understanding it is 64bit.. most "normal" stuff out there is 32bit.. had ALOT of issues installing programs for work.. finally reverted back to Win7. Try compatability mode in XP SP3.
