Karl plead guilty to arson and he thinks the club shoot rules do not apply to him. No offense Karl you made your choice and now you have to live with it.

Last time I checked the club rules state no Felons and I don't wish to explain to LE why I am shooting with a felon.

Karl you want to go have pizza and a beer I am good to go however if you want to partake in an activity that involves firearms I am out.

You all can kick me in the nuts or do as you wish I speak my mind as always. Karl I mean no offense by this but it seems you don't understand what you got your self into.

Let me make it very simple your firearm hobby is OVER PERIOD!

We all make choices in life and we all make bad ones at times unfortunatley you made a choice Karl that takes away a hobby you love. I feel bad that you have to give up something that you love as much as I do but that is life. You made a choice and now you must live with the consequences.

There is nothing wrong with his facts. I was told this by the DA's office: He plead guilty. His sentencing is set for mid May. It is an open plea meaning the judge will determine his sentence. If anyone wants to confirm HunterCO's facts they can call the DA's office at 719-520-6919.

    Yep I sure did!

You where never conivcted in the sense that you went to trial instead you plead guilty. You plead guilty to attempted arson which I might add is a felony. It took effect the very day you plead guilty that is how it works. Exactly what education does one need to pick up a phone and call the DA's office to find out the facts????????

You already accepted the plea which is why you plead guilty. If you had not accepted the plea and plead not guilty it would have went to trial for 1st degree arson. You took a plea of attempted arson instead that is why they call it a plea.

You plead guilty and now you go to sentencing your public defender will argue for a lighter sentence and the DA will argue for a harder sentence. The judge will make a decision and that is the end you have no say in it. You dont have a choice of whether or not you accept it.

You plead guilty same thing pleading guilty means you are convicted.

Yes and when you accepted the plea and plead guilty you are convicted the only person I see playing word games is you.

I can't wait to here it! I am not going to argue with you I said what I had to say and if anybody doubts anything I said they can call the DA's office themselves.

Maybe this rule needs to be expanded to state something about, no individuals legally unable to posses a firearm and felons should not be present.

It could use some word smithing since I don't want it to even imply that parents can't bring a kid with them.

Was there in fact a guilty plea? If so, I shall not be attending when the person who made the guilty plea to a felony is present. I'm not opening myself up to a felony charge. No way, no how. I've never met the man in question and I have no opinion of personality, etc. I simply can't afford the risk.

It does not need any "word smithing" it is called common sense. No Felons they can not even touch a firearm period. Kids on the other hand are not felons. Not to mention if they are with a legal gaurdian they can posses and shoot a firearm a Felon cant.

What part of the rules do you not understand?

I must admit that this has been bothering me. I guess I was hoping that the folks that have founded this club would have taken action without it coming down to a thread in the forum.

I don't even want to get into a legal dialogue. I feel that my trust and that of the group was taken advantage of. That's not something I take lightly.

Apparently you missed my point and just want to be nasty.

I'm saying this should be expanded to include anyone even under an indictment or restraining order where part of the legal proceedings is they can not posses a firearm, before so much as a plea or conviction is in place.

Right now I see where some people are trying to split hairs about the definition of felon and I want to remove this as even a slight loophole which I think goes against common-sense.
