Default Is it almost time for this new "stealth" line of clothing?

    Pretty interesting ideas here: http://www.shtfplan.com/headline-new...rones_01112013

Making its debut on January 17th, the Stealth Wear line will include hoodies, scarves, hats, and t-shirts that will make the wearer invisible to thermal imaging cameras widely used throughout the unmanned aerial vehicle community. Harvey and his project team aren’t just limiting the scope of their work to anti-drone technology either. They’ve introduced new techniques to counter computer vision (CV), also known as facial recognition.

Back when cameras used actual film, there used to be lead-lined bags to protect high speed film against airport security machines. Certainly large enough for a cell phone, somewhat flexible, and not really heavy. Probably easier to find than a a suitable metal mesh for improvising faraday cage, something thin and flexible but durable.

trouble is that to shield from thermal vision you need to insulate. read warm

As for blocking cameras, many of them, especially ones that operate in low light, don't block IR. Overwhelming the sensors with IR means they wont pickup anything else. I've seen baseball caps with IR LEDs built into the bill. They look normal until you look through a camera, then you see a big flare instead of a face.

TAD stealth hoodie is already been out for a while and mitigates your thermal signature.

Just turn your phone off and pull the battery. Or if you just got to have a gadget, use a mylar chip bag.
