Default NRA is optimistic there won't be a new AWB (national level, no mention of Colorado)

Interesting to see the NRA with a reason for optimism. Hopefully, on a local level, CO state will have trouble following the California model.

Look for the state legislature to ram through something on the Denver AWB model. it has withstood two court challenges, our state constitution not withstanding.

This is my biggest fear. The national ban is defeated or dropped and the state battle (Colorado and others ) is lost. I really like to hear something from the NRA, RMGO, NGRA or someone else just to know that we're still in the fight.

hopefully you guys are re-upping your RMGO membership or tossing a few bucks their way. the NRA will try to help locally I'm sure, but RMGO is our dog in the fight.

There is something that really muddies things up at a Federal level.

    Heller v DC

We have the right to arms "That are in common usage".
A "class" of firearm may not be banned.

The interpretation arguments of the 2cnd have pretty well run their course. The .gov really does not have anything supporting a ban.
However a caviat-Heller did open up "regulation" and lays a lot of weight on states authority.

We still need the letters, emails and calls at all levels to continue.

This is awesome but what fun is it to shoot with only a 10 round magazine.
My EDC: Handcuffs, Bandana, and Ball Gag.

If I'm ever at a party and the cops come to arrest people. Ill blindfold myself, throw the ball gag in, handcuff my hands, and hide in a closet. Police never arrest hostages!

BP Tactical - even in the wake of Heller, all state-level AWBs still stand. Look at CA, NY, MA... Colorado seems like an easy target for the gun control nuts.

Re read my post amigo, Heller re-affirms states rights.
All the more reason to hammer our state reps.

I left California to get away from the crazies there. I miss the weather, especially in times like today. But, I like the freedoms of Colorado. I don't want a gun law passed here that is like CA
