email from Midwayusa...
Always concerns me when vendors start to get concerned....
Dear Joedelt,
We have been holding some products for you, waiting for other items to arrive so we could ship your order complete. However, we believe an Executive Order could be released any day prohibiting the sale of certain products such as high-capacity magazines and AR-15 parts and accessories. Therefore we have done a partial release of your backorders to ensure that any of these items and other items we had in inventory waiting to ship complete are all on their way, in case such an Order is forthcoming. You will receive a shipping notification shortly. Other items on backorder, that we have not yet received, are not affected by this partial release.
We appreciate your understanding and your business. We always put Customer Satisfaction first and believe this action is in the very best interest of our Customers.
Sincerely,
MidwayUSA Customer Service

Good to see they're looking out for you by shipping what they do have in case something does happen.

Sent without the Tapatalk signature to appease Ah Pook.

Good on Midway! It would be even better if, as an act of civil disobedience, everyone just ignored any sort of unconstitutional executive order. Did we elect a king?
-
Good for them, I hope it ends up being unnecessary, but at least you'll get part of your order in case something happens.
-
Good for Midway, but it makes me worried that they're worried.

I agree that it is unnerving that midway is concerned, however if their customer service hadn't already done it, they have made a lifetime customer out of me.

Grand Master Know It All
My experience with them this past week was slightly less positive.
Their website clearly states that they will issue a refund for merchandise returned within 60 days. I returned an unopened Ruger part and it arrived back at their address five days after it had left there. I received an email stating that they had issued me "Midway Money" - essentially store credit. This, in spite of my clearly choosing the "refund" option on the return paperwork. This was not an item such as ammo that can't be returned, it was just a metal part. I've tried to get through to them on the phone but that's obviously an act of futility these days.

a cool, fancy title
I have had an upper on order with them since Nov 6th. Said in stock but was backordered by the time I completed my order. Sadly, I don't expect I will ever see it. I haven't received a similar email unfortunately. I'm sure because there is no way to partial ship a complete upper. Damn.
I still love Midway.

I was extremely happy to see "Shipped" on my last order from a different company.

Thank God I already got all my mags. I feel bad for those people still in the queue on backorders.
