I didn't read the whole thread, just searched it, and was wondering about the 7 round/mag part. I'm not a 1911 owner (it's on the wish list someday) but know that most 1911s are 7 rounders. AND Kimber's headquarters is in NY. Do I need to ogle other 1911s and steer clear of Kimber? Did they have their hand in the 7 round BS??

I guess that would make people safer if even the police officers were bound to the 7rd capacity. Remember the shooting near the Empire State Building, where two police officers shot so many rounds and still failed to his the perp?
