This is the website to buy one square inch of land (for which you get a deed) in protest of the planned army takeover (or whatever) of the piñon canyon. I called today and the soonest I can have an appointment in Denver county is may 8th.

No. The permit is issued based on primary residence, not property ownership. If I'm wrong, I'll gladly be corrected.

I thought you could obtain a permit in another county if your place of business was in that county. I'm trying to find it on jeffco's site but they've redone the site. Not sure about the requirements for your 'place of bussiness'

Land is NOT "real property" under the definitions. Has to be a dwelling or a place of business, land ownership is immaterial.

This was my understanding as well, thus my prior comment. I believe that simply owning a parcel of undeveloped land, isn't adequate. Again, I'd be thrilled to learn otherwise. I don't see why land isn't enough, as I think it should be.... some folks own tracts of land for hunting/farming.

In the FWIW category, there are several small "ghost" towns forming on the Eastern plains of CO. I looked at a 900 square foot house in Yuma, CO that was for sale for $11K. Heck, there are even homestead tracts still available.

So if my business leases office space in a shop in a county I can apply there?
