Default Good Shelters / Adoption Places (Dogs)

I can tell that my dog is just straight out bored without another dog so now I'm looking for a good shelter / adoption place around here. Really kind of wanting a puppy but would settle with an older dog too just because of the activity level of my older dog.

Our last one we adopted from dalmation rescue. They actually responded to our inquiries in a timely manner and did a few follow ups too. How far you looking to travel to look at dogs?
We like working with animal rescue's as we get a history with the dog, know it's been spayed, or neutered, dewormed, AND you have a 7-14 day trail period to see if the animal works with not only you, but your kids (if any) and other pets in the home. With an animal shelter, like a car once off the lot, it's your headache.

I adopted a siberian husky from north star husky rescue. They are really good people and will work with you to make sure you, your family and your home are ready for the breed.

Depending on what part of Weld County you are in, there are Humane Society shelters in Greeley and Boulder (yes, I know Boulder is not in Weld, but it isn't far from the Dacono/Firestone/Frederick area).

Every Creature Counts is in Ft. Lupton on Hwy 85 just north of Hwy 52. They've always got a mass of dogs looking for homes.

I have 2 rescues from North Star. If you like huskies, they are the place to go.
