Dinner sitting next to Brady Center lobbyists -- overheard

I had dinner in DC tonight in at a place frequented by lobbyists.. Through some act of fate my table was directly across from a table with 3 lobbyists from the Brady Campaign. It was interesting overhearing parts of their conversations - I couldn't catch everything but some tidbits of what I did hear:

-- they were bitching that they had given wording for something and were mad that they had to re-write it several times and that it still wasn't accepted by David Price's office yet
-- said multiple times that 'This is stupid that we are even wasting time on this' I took it in the context that they thought there should be an outright ban on all guns period (one of them made a comment as such at different time)
-- said they were meeting with the 'families' in the morning to brief before the event, one said they were going back to the hotel to finish the talking points and they would send them out tonight for review

I really wanted to poke them with a sharp stick but it wouldn't have worked well with the company I was in - and would have been in poor taste at the location. Sorry.

I tried to take a picture but it didn't come out (trying to take it on the sly didn't help).

Don't think any of this is earth shattering news, just thought it was serendipitous and wanted to share. The fickle finger of fate really is strange some times...
