Unfortunately as I adding this I was watching Lou Dobbs and he he a another unbeliviable story against gun owners in Oklahoma.. and an update on the guys sentencing. The government is asking for a 4 year sentence. Un F___ing believeble. As soon as they post the video of this other story I will post it here.

I'm new to guns. I've had my firearms less then a year. For me this seems so simple. Open up the AR and see if it has MG internals. If it doesn't then its not an auto. I hope things work out for that guy.

There's a lot more to this story and has been discussed ad nauseum over at ARFCOM.

From what I've been able to find and read about it, it appears to be more of a problem with a modification than a malfunction. When you flip the selector to what is supposed to be the auto position and the rifle fires as an auto, that ain't a malf.
