No, Tancredo would have won if the Republican party would have dumped the idiot they had (who lied to the party from the get-go) and run Tancredo instead. Yes The Hick got more votes than both combined, but a big part of that is because many Colorado Republicans and Conservatives just stayed home because of the mess.

Now that pot is legal here expect it to get worse.

If they get their gun control fantasies here expect more conservatives to leave thus making it even worse.

Unless the current libtard gun control fetish causes the state to backlash and go red again, I have very little hope for the future of Colorado (soon to be renamed East California).

I also have to take a little umbrage at criticism from someone in Harry Reid's district

That was my point during the election.

I think pot passed in big part because of the potential of tax revenue. As for getting the illegals out, I don't see that happening anytime soon. Colorado politics is really divided in 3. Conservatives, Liberals and Libertarians. The libertarians are often open borders types and liberals understand that poor, dependent Mexicans will vote for whomever gives them the biggest welfare checks so the fight against illegals here isn't going to go well.

That's the $64,000 question. At this point I think there's a slim chance that we can turn it back around (and honestly the push for gun control by the Dems may actually be our saving grace if it brings the conservatives and libertarians together in a huge backlash). I'll be honest, I'm keeping an open mind about Wyoming, Idaho or Utah and keeping an eye on the job market there.
