I think that's the main difference between the Army and USMC... We had guys come back from leave (white kids wanting to be a different pigment) with chinstraps and the CSM would have them in the front leaning rest in their civvies...

Looks like Charlie Manson's grandson. Just kidding. My dad is a Marine. At 77 he still has his flat top and is always clean shaven. I still remember when I got out of the army and came home with a beard and long hair.

I went on vacation while driving home for terminal leave- didn't pack my razor so I came back and no one could have guessed I was in.
