    Default Trijicon at long distances

Been looking at 3x and 4x Trijicons. I shoot gong targets out to 600 yards now with a Colt 4x scope with no problem. Have those of you with models such as TA11F, TA31F or RCO with the red trianlge chevron, the TA33-8, or the TAO1NSN had any experience shooting gongs or metal targets at this distance? The TA01NSN is ideal given it's rectile but the eye relief is short and for me to get a proper sighting that scope is bout 3/8 away from my eye glasses, a bit close for comfort.

I have a TA11, I have only shot it out to about 425 yards which it works great for. It has hash marks that should go out to 600, the issue I suppose would be the size of the gong and if you can see it ok in the scope.

I strongly recommend the TA11 for reasons cited in the "Fighting Carbine Optics" article. It's also the most used ACOG in 3-Gun by a wide margin-- we want to win. I've hit steel at 700 yards with my 12" SBR and a TA11.

I used a TA-11 for a few years, in fact I think rtr bought mine. I like them a lot, I just like my S&B Short Dot more.

    Good scopes. Very highly recommended.

I've only used my TA31 at 100 yds so far so have no experience at longer ranges yet. As far as the eye relief I did try mounting it on my FAL and had no problem with being too close to the scope with the .308. I don't think I'd want to try it on my 300 Weatherby.

TA11 owners - does the scope fit on your upper with the rear BUIS - or did you have to take the rear BUIS off?

If it fits with the BUIS on, does the scope fit on the rail or did you need to get a rail extension?

    Thanks for all the info.

I am leaning toawrds to TA11F, good eye relief, etc.

My Troy Ind BUIS stays on with the TA-11 on the rifle.
