Generally I say No. However, If you have other means of security and defense, and you're really strapped for cash (or you're going to double your money), then sure. Go ahead. I'm considering selling one of mine, but not all of them.

So you are not liking the length of the barrel...

Build another upper, if it is going to be NFA, you still have a fully functioning rifle until the paperwork goes through and you can then put the NFA upper on your lower.

Barrels are still available, and relatively inexpensive compared to the rest of the parts. The only hard to find stuff at the moment is BCG and stripped uppers but they can be found reasonably. To that end for the cost of a standard BCG at the moment, you can pick up a nickel boron BCG that people seem to be ignoring.

I just happen to have a 14.5" BM 1:9 cl bbl. it can be pinned to 16" if you want to do a swap pm me.

If you can replace the rifle you have now with the one you want, Today for the same price or cheaper then do it. However the chances of actually buying one for less than say $12-1500 isn't happening.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I ended up declining the deal despite the guy offering me a little more.

@ Jim - If it were a 1:7 barrel I'd be all over it man. I shoot 62gr.

    Remember:

2 is 1 and 1 is none. So none would be -1 right?
