If he didn't care, the market would take care of itself. By the repeated meddling in the market, I think what he's doing to the economy is intentional.

Okay, this is one of those "a friend of a friend says" posts.

I work with a very active target shooter who says his sister works for Federal Ammunition. Since things has blown up due to the Sandy Hook tragedy, Federal has not been allowed to ship any ammunition. The word is that every shipment must be inspected & approved by a .fed inspector before it can leave the plant. One particular truckload was ready to be loaded when the inspector claimed the packaging was "too dirty". Federal re-packaged the entire shipment & then the inspector denied it out-of-and with no reason provided. Since that point, according to the co-workers sister, the shipments have been backing up and they've run out of room to store it.

I'm curious if there are similar stories with other ammo manufacturers.

This. The Ammo being "held up" by who ever, where ever is similar to the twin tower inside job crap. DEMAND VS SUPPLY, We're demanding and they are unable to maintain a steady Supply.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.
