People just need to chill out. Aren't you tired of the pussy footing around with firearms so that just the appearance of one upsets someone to the point of needing psychiatric help? It's irrational to fear them like our society does.

I guess it's OK to have them as long as nobody ever sees them or ever uses them outside of their homes.

Just keep treating them like cigarettes and create a taboo around them. Make people that have them out to be less deserving than the rest of society. Keep up the direction to stigmatize firearms. That sounds like a road to a positive outcome.
