I stopped into the Fort Collins store today and the hunting department was a ghost town. The last time I was in there was about two months ago and it was packed with customers and stock. Just like every other time I had been there. Today I was the only customer in there and there wasn't a lot of stock either. Spots for many accessories weren't just empty, the tags were taken down as well. There were only about six pistols left in the display case. When I asked an employee if they were just out of stock, I recieved a very irritated "yes". I asked him when shipments come in and he said every day. Now I know there has been a much higher demand for firearms lately, but it's hard for me to believe that they are selling out of stock when I didn't see any customers.
I heard through the grapevine that they wouldn't be restocking any "assault style" weapons. They did have an AR style air gun in there with a sign on it that said "this is an airgun".
Does anybody know if they are cutting back to just hunting rifles and shotguns?
