Ill say this, could have been a special client that got his rifle in and they had him take possession in the parking lot to not start a frenzy. People in some gun shops are seeing people receive their rifles, following them outside and pestering them to sell for more. Just a thought anyways.

I do wish people would actually mind their own business a little more. A store in my jurisdiction apparently had several cases of .223 and one person bought 2000 rounds. Another patron called the police and thought it was suspicious that a person would buy so much ammo.

Of course lately I have been getting numerous gun type calls and they are almost always completely nothing, such as people walking in from the car to the house with their rifle and so on. I always ask the person who reported, Where are you from? They always tell me some super anti-gun place like Oregon (I'm assuming super anti-gun), New York, etc. Then I tell them, Welcome to Colorado, we are a little more gun friendly here (for the time being...but those new residents are trying to change that in a hurry).

I think the concern of the OP is legit. You have a store employee, at a store that has very publicly and politically decided not to sell EBRs, walking out of the store with an EBR and transferring it another person in the parking lot.

There's a lot of legitimate reasons this could be going on, and it's unlikely that it's a crime. However, it certainly looks like a store that make a very visible stink about not dealing in EBRs is finding a way to get rid of its stock, and that reeks.

Without jumping to conclusions, ever consider it was an employee selling one of his guns and or a customer given back a gun that was on consignment? . Next thing you know there will be 911 calls because someone saw a person with a gun entering a shooting range. Good thing my neighbors like guns.
Then again you support BG checks for any gun sale.

I smile a little inside when I see a matter-of-fact private transaction. I've done deals with police, active mil, hunters, ninjas, and heavily inked salt-of-the-earth folks. Land of the free and all that. All that JAX transaction shows is that employees don't write corporate policy.

That could also be very true. It goes back to minding your own business. I am sure every LEO can tell you the countless "homicides" that get reported to show up and find out people are just doing nothing but for some reason their neighbor thought something was suspicious or someone was dead...

It is jax, maybe you should have called the atf about a back door black gun transaction. They do have a history of funny shit. And hopefully they go out of business soon.
