Default *** Interest Feeler *** Advanced and Remote Wilderness First Aid

I live in the Metro Area, and recently was re-certified by the Red Cross in Their First Aid/CPR class, which is a pre-requisite for the Advanced Wilderness First Aid class, and why I took it through the Red Cross.

I was speaking with the instructor, because the Wilderness Class is not offered very often in the class calendar on the website. And she said that the Red Cross will provide an instructor if enough students are provided in class. I didn't get much more information, because many of the people I personally know would give me a wierd look, and ask "Why would you want that training?".

So I am putting this out there, and maybe we have an instructor out here that we can keep our money within this community. Would anyone be interested in attending the Advanced and Remote Wilderness First Aid class?

I did this when I was a trip leader for the CMC but I'm long out of cert. Good stuff for anyone who wanders the backcountry. Depending on scheduling/location I might be interested.

Is this the certification course like WFR?, or informational learning course?

I would be interested, as it is good for backcountry skiing, ski guiding and getting on with ski patrol.
