    Default quick question

I have a quick question for you guys. I'm taking my CCW class this sat. at Colorado Weapons Training. I want to apply for the CCW permit as soon as I can after the class. I live in Larimer county right now but will be moving to Brighton in a few months, which is Adams county. Should I or can I apply for Larimer then use it when I live in Adams?

Yes. You just have to notify your issuing Sheriff of a move within 30 days. That is how it was explained to me.

And i have mine through Adams Co. It took 60 days to issue, and was painless.

I would just apply through Adams county to start with since that is where you will be living. It will be good statewide anyway.

I don't know for sure, but since you have to put your current address on the application for the background check, I would bet the Adams County Sheriff would not process it. Let us know if you try it and they do allow it before you move.

Yes apply in the county you live in now and when you move you must notify them. After that you can still continue to renew in the original county even though you do not live in that county anymore.
